Snug Onesie and over orders

So, I went to my mailbox this morning at the post office and I have 2 packages. Unreal, I am expecting an order. The lovely (and cute) girl at the counter goes out back to grab my packages. She returns struggling with two huge boxes, one clearly marked "Tena Maxi Slip". Damit (slaps hand against forehead)!

I am not embarrassed about buying Nappies or even picking them up, even under close questioning its easy to make up some bull story about how they are for someone else. But it was just the expression on her face when she handed me the boxes, "Jesus, why do you need so many nappies!"
Anyway, I now have 6 packs of abri flex extra pants which are for work and during the day, and 4 packs of tena maxi slips for night. All of which I have to put somewhere where they wont be discovered (I live in a share house) and they came with a whopping bill of $220.00. I could return them but its a huge hassle so I am just going to keep them or possibly flog some off on eBay if I need to. If you live in Auz and wear a medium of either, let me know :-)

Also I have been struggling for years to find a good fitting Onesie. I am pretty long in the torso and every onesie is either to short and is massively tight, or to long and baggy and not doing anything. All these years I have been looking for one that provides support, while being slim fitting without being too small. I have even tried expensive onesie from privatina and they have not really been worth the price. But Alas, babykins have come to the rescue, the summer onesie is a perfect fit, Yay! If I am wearing tena's they provide the perfect amount of support to correct the droop. Perfect for every day and night wearing

Anyways, I am off to roll around in huge piles of nappies! :D

Nappies

Strange how some words or scents seem to trigger, on an emotional level, something from your past. This is not overly common with me but something happened today that made me feel really good. It's a little hard to explain, but essentially, I was doing a re-supply and getting some more pullups and Nappies (normally I would call them diapers but since thats the title of this post and I am Australian, I thought I would go with it :D). I normally purchase online with my supplier because its easy to do when I am laying in bed or when I am getting changed, but I needed to pay off my account so I thought I would call and kill two birds with one stone. I love my supplier, every time I have spoken to someone on the phone they have always been very cheery and helpful. This time, I was ordeing Abena products and everything starts with abri flex or form or something, so I can understand how confusing it can be for call centre staff. It came to the point where the attendant was describing to me the descrition of the product to confim that she was ordering the correct product for me when she asked, "is it the nappy or the pull up?"

Normally this would have been nothing, but there was something about someone saying the word "nappy" to me in the context of an "adult nappy" which was very unusual and comforting. At one point in time I am sure all AB/DL's have kept their love for nappies secret and I am sure some will never get the oppertunity to speak to an attractive sounding woman about adult nappies in any context, be it medical or otherwise. So for some reason it was very comforting to talk to someone about "the nappy style product, not the pull up" without being judged. Don't really know where this story is going, but I guess it really illustrates how isolated life can be sometimes, and although being a DL is a significant part of my life, I hardly ever get to talk to anyone about it. I guess that's why this blog is here! :D

Leave me some comments, I would love to hear your thoughts on similar situations,

Weekend!

Hi All,

It's the weekend and it's getting cold! So So happy now :D. I am enjoying the night by having dinner in front of a toasty warm fireplace and watching a movie. Not to much more could make me happier at this point in time. I am also trying this new amazon associates program. Essentially I can keep you up dated on the things that I am loving and where you can grab them (read: Kickback :P)

Anyways I am off, have a great weekend!

Story I have been working on, Please comment :-)

Chapter 1

It was one of these things that she hated doing, Alex had a great ability to find the worst shopping trolleys, always making life a little more difficult than it had to be. As she walked down the isles checking her list, She felt the familiar feeling of a damp pull-up pressing against her skin. The feeling over the years had become all too familiar and she had become accustomed to it, not even thinking about. As she grabbed the few items she needed she proceeded to the checkout. "Hi" she said to the checkout attendant, who said nothing back. as the few items she purchased were checked she paid the cashier, " are there some bathrooms nearby?" she asked the attendant. With a blank look she pointed to the left of the checkouts. "thanks" alex said in a sarcastic tone. She wanted to browse around the shops but though she had better put her shopping in the car and head to the bathroom to freshen up. She was walking out the door when she heard a familiar voice from behind her. " Hey Alex", alex turned "oh hi Jen, how are you?", "ok, these exams have been killing me, I can't wait till its all over for the semester" "yeah I agree, I finished mine on tuesday, do you have many more to go?" " only one this afternoon, we are all heading out afterwards do you want to come? we are heading down the pub for a few drinks", "yeah possibly I will give you a call and let you know for sure later on" "ok sounds good" Jen said. " I will catch you later" she said as she walked off waving. She got out to her car, a restored mini, she opened side door and placed all of her shopping on the seat. She grabbed her handbag out of the shopping trolley and pushed it into the trolley return bay. She walked back-into the store and headed to the bathrooms. She always liked to use the disabled bathrooms as they gave her more room to change. She had never been to this shopping centre before and the bathrooms were spacious and clean. She lifted her knee length skirt and unclasped her onesie. When wearing pull-ups, she didn't wear the onesie to hold anything up but more as a safe guard from people seeing her protection. She loved the current fashion trend and revelled in the ability to wear free flowing skirts without fear of easily exposing her pull-ups. She lifted the front of the onesie and slowly slid down her pull-up. as it fell onto the floor with a soft thud, she kicked to it one side. Fashion was agin on her side, large handbags were a blessing, she pulled a fresh pull-up and a travel pack of wipes from her bag. She was a nice looking girl and always took pride in her appearance and hygiene. At first when her specialist recommended she shave her pubic region she was a little taken back, "it will help and make cleaning up easier" the specialist promised. for the first few weeks she kept her pubic region trimmed but not shaved, at this hard time in her life it felt like the only thing that made her feel like a grown up. She was 18 at the time but she had lived with the condition for over 2 years.

She looked at her shaved region and briefly remembered how uncomfortable having hair once felt and she revelled in the smooth fresh feeling the hairlessness gave her. She wiped herself and stepped into a fresh pull-up. She wiggled the pull up up her legs and slightly forced them up over her things an into place. She preferred to wear adult pull-ups that were smaller in size for her already small stature. The tighter fit always made her feel more comfortable. Although even regular diapers were easy enough to conceal over fairly tight clothes, she did not risk it. The pull-up was tight and she jiggled her hips to get settled. She clipped her green onesie back into place and let her skirt fall down around her knees. making sure nothing was tucked in anywhere, she threw the used diaper into the trash, grabbed her belongings and walked out. She had tried teen diapers before, but the often childish designs on goodnights often made her feel weird, the fit was sure better but the absorption was not as good. She walked unaware of her diaper, as she had grown complacent with them over the years. At first it seamed like a hindrance, and highly embarrassing, but she always told her self that she was lucky and it could have been a lot worse. Rehab had been hell, but worth every second. she grabbed a few cd's and a new dvd from the cd shop and headed for her car. She got into her car and heard the seat crinkle as she sat down. She always placed a disposable seat pad under her seat cover incase of leaks.

She drove home and got stuck in the increasing traffic, but still made it home in under 20 minutes. She grabbed her groceries and walked to her front door. stopping to look at the 3 large packages on the door step. "great" she smiled to her self as she kicked open the door. She walked to the kitchen and placed the items on her counter and headed back to grab the packages. "Hi Alex, hope everything is well, you next delivery will be next week, call me if you want to change the order" the post-it was signed Ken. Ken was a great man, an older gentleman that owned the local pharmacy. Alex's supplies were an unusual request for Ken and his wife at first, but alex was by far one of the pharmacy's best customers and was rewarded with free deliveries. Ken and Janice had always been wonderful and very understanding and always delivered in plain packages. Not that it mattered on Alex's small acreage block. her house was set 100m off the road and had a dense cover of trees between her house and the road, meaning that even if the packages were not in unmarked packages, it would be impossible to see them. She grab two boxes and kicked the third inside. She shut the door and and took two of the three boxes upstairs to her change room. She had a change table on one side of the room that was custom made and a small desk and some walk in wardrobes on the other side of the room. The change table looked great and she loved it as a piece of furniture. To the naked eye it looked like a modern stylish side board, very sleek and clean. But to alex, she knew it was a comfortable and easy place to get changed. She walked up to the rear of the unit and press what looked like a decorative panel. It popped up and she reached in a and pulled out a change mat that slid into place on the top of the unit. She took of her skirt and her T-shirt, unclipping her onesie while hopping up onto the mat. The mat had a head rest at one end and was covered in a white medical grade vinyl. She lifted the onesie over her head before lying down. The cold vinyl sending a shiver down her back as she lay there in a pull-up and bra. She reached over the side and slid open a shallow draw and removed a fresh cloth diaper and pair of plastic pants. She tore the side of her pull-ups and dropped it into a waste basked on the side. She wiped and powdered herself, savouring in the sweet smell that she had grown to love before positioning the diaper and puling it between her legs. She fastened the Velcro bands and positioned the snap on plastic pants as she had the diaper and snapped them in-place. The pretty pink colour reminded her of her femininity. She stood and removed an oversize football jersey from another shelf and put it on, allowing it to hang over her diapered behind. She was not a large girl, at only 5.6 and 68kg she had small breasts, a tight body and cute behind. she walked down stairs and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and headed for the back door. two familiar faces stood waiting, tails waging. She opened the back door "Hey girls!" she said with excitement. Two beautiful border collies nudged at her hands for loving attention. Bonnie and Jess were only one year old and full of life. Alex sat on the back step and gave the dogs a good rub. Jess being her usual self shoved her snout under Alex's jersey and into her crotch, "hey, don't do that" alex yelled playfully, knowing the dogs inquisitive nature. she stood up and looked for the dogs favourite toys, large chewable bones made from a soft plastic. She threw the two bones into her back yard and the dogs took off to retrieve them. She loved her dogs, she treated them like family and they loved her for it. Well trained, the dogs knew the rules and did not follow her as she headed inside, instead opting to run and chase each other round on her property.

Bingo!

Ahhh it has been a while and I must apologise for not posting. I have been away for work for a couple of weeks. Now I know what you're thinking, "But Mr Dossier, there is internet everywhere!" I know I know. Anyway, It's a great day, lounging at home on the couch in Suprima's and a Tena maxi. Life is good.

I have been working on building myself a new cabinet for all of my diapers and things. At the moment I have been using a filing cabinet that I picked up from ikea. It works well, it has one large draw that opens to reveal 2 small ones at the top. Its just big enough that I can fit in a couple of full bags of diapers in the filing cabinet section and a few bits and pieces like plastic pants and onesie's in the draws.

Possibly the best thing about the unit is its lock. Now it's not really going to keep a determined person out, but it keeps out my housemates when they are looking for something stupid like sticky tape.

So the design is going to include some draws for general storage and non diaper related stuff. The tricky part is, it's going to have either a secret top section or a secret bottom draw. Anyone have any thoughts? I have been thinking either a long low design, kinds like a buffet or the other design, a tall boy. Pros of the long short design is I can make the whole top flip open to reveal a long shallow hidden space. I could also design it to be used a change table of sorts, but my bed is so close and much more comfortable. The tall boy could have a deeper space but it will be much harder to conceal. I am at odds. Anyone got any ideas or links to sites with cool draw units?

Never doing that again,

So I have been wearing for years, intact more than I care to remember. But up until now I have never tried messing. I am not sure why I did try, but lets just say, I am never doing it again. I have so much respect for people like Adrian from "I heart diapers" who has to deal with it as a fact of life everyday. I would not be able to handle it! Eeek! Respect.

Armchair environmentalist

So I have been having an ongoing rant with a guy that I work with about climate change. Normally I am a pretty passive person and don't get into philosophical topics such as this, but one thing has been bugging me. Before we go further I just want to say that I am a firm believer in climate change and I am trying to change my life so I can make a difference. For instance, I chose a car insurance that will offset the carbon it makes for a certain number of kilometres per year, When I can I wear bio degradable diaper inserts and I am a firm believer in using cloth diapers and plastic pants ( not just for the environmental benefits :D ) these are just a few things that I do everyday to help make a difference, even if its is small. My colleague who I call an arm chair environmentalist is continually going on about climate change and how it's going to destroy everything, but will not change his lifestyle to make a difference. On top of that, he is almost a climate change alarmist, wildly making huge statements that the world will "implode because the mass of the earth is changing" or something stupid like that. For once I would love to find out where he gets these wild ideas from, I can only assume its in the "huger number of blogs and newspaper articles that I read everyday". I love the fact that people believe what mainstream media prints and that someone so "dedicated to the cause" would not bother to educate himself with proper scientific journals so he can learn about how climate change will really effect us and what he can do to help fight it.

In saying that, I love the guy to death and he is a great friend. I guess if you can have a sustained argument over a period of days and still be talking and joking round the friendship is in pretty safe hands :-)

Anyway, I have just order a new "concealer shirt" from Babykins (or an onesie for all you AB's) and a couple of pairs of basic plastic pants from B4ns. Nothing cool unfortunately, but I have been needing some new work attire for a while and I was bored. At the moment I cant get enough of suprima plastic pants, I think it's mostly the range that makes them so appealing, what is everyone else using?
